A pattern I see happening in the world of homeopathy is the attempts to legitimatize homeopathy and make it mainstream. This   would be nice if homeopathy fit that model of medicine. Unfortunately it does not. As long as the idea of materialist medicine is a mainstream idea the real essence of homeopathy will not integrate very easily. And every attempt to do so will only dilute the power and effectiveness of this most wonderful medicine. Hahnemann uses the word spiritual many times in the Organon. In Aphorism 9 he says, "In the healthy condition of man, the spiritual vital force (autocracy) the dynamis that animates the material body (organism) , rules with unbounded sway, and retains all the parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation, as regards both sensations and functions, so that our indwelling, reason gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence." Why become a Homeopath? Because you love people. If you do not have an innate love for people then maybe being a Homeopath is not the right job for you. When you spend all day listening to peoples woes and sufferings it could be exhausting if you did not have an innate love and compassion for others. Not everyone is suited for this type of work. This is fine. But for the serious person wanting to become a homeopath, you better love people. Become a homeopath because you love to learn. There will never be a day without learning as a Homeopath. Every person is different and every case is different. There is a unique remedy for each person. This is not something like allopathic medicine where you figure out a diagnosis and then prescribe a set protocol of medicine. It is an art and science to translating a persons story into a unique repertory of symptoms and then selecting a remedy for that person.
