Dr. Samuel Hahnemann is widely known as the founder of homeopathy, a system of alternative medicine that utilizes highly diluted substances to treat various illnesses. However, there are many aspects of his life that are not commonly known or talked about. In this article, we will explore some of the lesser-known details of Dr. Hahnemann’s life and work. Samuel Hahnemann was born in 1755, 10th April in Meissen, Germany. His father was a porcelain painter and his mother was the daughter of a silk weaver. Hahnemann was the second of ten children and showed an early aptitude for languages and natural sciences. He studied medicine at the University of Leipzig and went on to practice as a physician. In 1790, Hahnemann published an article criticizing the medical practices of his time, particularly the use of harsh treatments such as bloodletting and purging.
